Drinking Cold water drawbacks

Drinking cold water is a quick fix of thirstiness. However it is totally unhealthy & leads to many severe health conditions.

Let’s understand the facts:

Everyone has heard & knows that drinking warm water is beneficial for health. This wisdom has been taught in Ayurveda & TCM since more than 5000 yrs.

Our body has it’s own internal core temperature 37 degree Celsius, when it increases causes different health issues. The same principle is applied when we drink cold, refrigerated or even room temp. drinks & creates opposite effects in our body. Negative effects of drinking cold fluids does not appear immediately as fever but initially it slows metabolism, interrupts digestion & later on effects on other organs & health.

Drinking fluids less than your body temp. (37 degree Celsius) leads to chronic diseases.

Here are the some reasons why you should prefer drinking warm water?

1. Drinking warm water optimizes the organs functions & prevents them from ill effects. Also improves blood circulation. When you refrigerate fluids at 3 degree Celsius and drink them it’s alike putting your organs into freezer. Shrinking, contracting & slowing is the effect of cold. Cold fluids blocks the energy path in our body, improper blood circulation, slows the organs which then work less than optimal capacity.

“Brain freezing” after drinking cold drinks/ice tea etc. is the simple example of this principle.

2. Drinking cold water imbalances the internal body temperature.
Cold fluids trigger internal cold syndrome which may cause chronic fatigue, depression, weight gain, stomach ache, bloating, loss of appetite, painful Menstruation, varicose veins, indigestion, joint pain, loose motions etc.

3. Drinking warm water is the simple remedy for many common health conditions while drinking cold water technically doesn’t cool the body but creates cold interiors that pushes internal heat to body’s surface which causes restlessness, headache, poor digestion, irritation, sweating, gas/acidity, cramps etc.

4. Drinking warm water saves your body’s energy. Body has to work hard to metabolize cold water which is less than body’s temperature even room temp. water. In process of cold fluids metabolism, body has to spend more energy. So, drink warm water & let the body use their energy properly for healing health conditions, boosting immunity etc.

5. Drinking cold water helps in unhealthy weight loss. When we drink cold water or room temp. water, it slows down the digestion, decreases appetite because here body works harder to maintain it’s core temperature 37 degree Celsius & body burns more calories.

6. Drinking warm water helps to keep our organs hydrated & improves their functions. While drinking cold fluids for long time causes organs dehydration. Cold water leads to organ malfunctioning.

7. Drinking warm water after exercise or physical activities helps to balance external & internal body temperature properly.

8. Drinking warm water helps in constipation, abdominal pain etc. It is easiest & simplest remedy.

There are many things remaining to add here, will update in upcoming post. From now prefer to drink warm water & avoid cold water even in summers for healthier life.
